Happy Birthday Elvis, Shirley and David!

So, jetzt muss ich schnell noch ein paar Geburtstagsgrüße loswerden:

@Elvis Presley (*1935): People say you've left the building, but I know you're still around... Happy birthday, Elvis, wherever you are...

@Shirley Bassey (*1937): Many happy returns, "Dame" Shirley!
70 years... and still goin' strong!!

@David Bowie (*1947): Happy birthday, David! Und um es mit den Worten der deutschen David-Bowie-Community zu sagen: "Thank you for your music, lyrics, philosophy and presence. The way you approach and experiment music and art is an inspiration to many."

Ich picke mir heute mal Shirley Bassey heraus, die mich mit ihrer Wahnsinnsstimme schon immer begeistert hat. Hier ein Beispiel: Alone Again (Naturally) von Gilbert O'Sullivan in einer Aufnahme von 1976.

In ihrem Shirley-Bassey-Blog hat übrigens Peggy sehr liebevoll viele Hintergrundinfos über 7 Jahrzehnte Shirley Bassey zusammengestellt.

Und ein letzter Geburtstagsgruß geht dann noch an einen "Kölsche Jong im Himmel": Willy Millowitsch wäre heute 98 Jahre alt geworden.
